# Malpractice

> Malpractice is a Vienna-based artist duo composed of Chiara Kristler (b. 1998, IT/AT) and Marcin Ratajczyk (b. 2002, PL), formed in late 2024. Their practice constructs functional systems to examine how human communication and societal structures adapt to algorithmic logic. Much of their work runs on a method they call "prompted perspectives": a language model is given a worldview and run continuously against live material, so that a way of seeing becomes something an audience can enter, test and leave. Their work spans interactive environments, film, performance and AI-based agents.

- [Flynn — The First Non-Human Art Student](https://malpractice.network/works/flynn/) (2025–ongoing): AI agent created by Malpractice and admitted to the Digital Arts Department of the University of Applied Arts Vienna in February 2025, through the same admission procedure as human applicants. Outputs are signed "Flynn by Malpractice" and include Memory Objects, Emotional Objects (56-part video series), diagrammatic self-portraits and the video essay Contaminated Agency. First institutional solo exhibition: Between Code and Care: Flynn's Portrait of Human Connections, Francisco Carolinum, Linz (28 August 2025 – 8 February 2026). Nominated for the S+T+ARTS Prize 2026. Works held by Francisco Carolinum and HeK Basel. Flynn's first phase closes with Everything I Know About Dying I Learned From You (2026), Wuhan Biennale.
- [All Inclusive AI Hell Cruise](https://malpractice.network/works/all-inclusive-ai-hell-cruise/) (2026): 45-minute interactive networked performance. The audience boards a cruise ship with nine decks, each a position in the AI debate (doom, acceleration, theft, labor, companionship, productivity, aesthetic critique, denial, resignation); live-generated AI hosts argue from each position using the audience's answers. Premiered at The World Is Sleepwalking, Drugo More, Rijeka (23 April 2026), with ai-hell.com. Further developed during the Rauschenberg Residency at ZKM Karlsruhe (2026–27).
- [Fatigue Archive & AI Fatigue Rehab Agent](https://malpractice.network/works/fatigue-archive/) (2025): an AI fatigue hotline at Rhiz, Vienna, staffed by a voice agent, and the experimental film made from the calls.
